Business Department: 

Finance Division:  Partnered up with both Chipotle and Shake Shack for fundraising events. The school looked more festive as popcorn tree posters were hung around, all thanks to the Finance Division! Popcorn bags in the shape of turkeys were made using M&M’s and popcorn as a way to fundraise and to benefit the spirit of festivities. There were many successful outreaches this month and we hope to have more of them in the future!

Marketing Division: Launched the highly anticipated Patreon page which made $105 within its first two days. Also, we made improvements to our already spectacular website such as the resource section, and giveaways. In addition, we had picture day for the team in which everyone was photographed for their yearly photos. Finally, we collaborated with the Safety Division to make a piece about Safety that was placed on the website.

Productions Division: Designed and made buttons that revolved around being thankful for the important aspects of our lives which were sold by the Finance Division throughout the month. We also took on a new video project with about 20 of the members in our team who were selected to express what they were thankful for in the Full Metal Beavers, STEAM, and Jamaica Gateway to the Sciences.

Competition Department: 

Awards Division:  Created a CAD model of the pit design and increased progress for the game design team. We also have been recording and documenting the team’s activity, and have completed every grant that was assigned. We have started the safety animations and on a crossover project with the Production Division for the upcoming month. 

Strategy Division: Started setting up to contact other teams to collect info which will be organized in a chart. The members of the main drive team have been chosen and training will soon start for them. Finally, we successfully created a 3D model of the pit on Onshape.

Engineering Department: 

Mechanical Division: Began to print thanksgiving themed bookmarks to sell. We created 3 designs for our December patrons and took our first trip to Home Depot to buy wood to rebuild the 2019 Deep space game set.

Controls Division: Finished with the 2019 robot and can now complete its intended tasks. We also have a little scavenger hunt to take inventory on what items are needed to commence working on the Iron-Man mask and the Spider-Man mask which were intended to go into the basics of electrical engineering and CAD in a fun way.

Operations Department:

Recruitment Division: Evaluated all the members on the team, regarding their activity on the team. We started to create an Evaluation poster to fix problems based on member’s answers, and will efficiently evaluate members.

Communications Division: Had a meeting recently to discuss partnering up with the Mechanical Division to work on the December Project. So far the idea is to make a box from wood that can hold letters from members. This will hopefully increase communication throughout the team and resolve the tension. We also had another meeting to discuss the roles of each member in this division.

Safety Division: Created a poster about proper safety techniques that could be used during the holiday season. Another section about battery safety was added to the Handbook.

Member of the month: Jonathan Gullapa  

Reason: Due to his dedication to the team by putting in 32+ outreach hours, Jonathan has been awarded Member of the Month. With every outreach, the team gains about $100 or more, and with him as the leader for some of them, it shows the commitment and passion that he has for the team. Not only does he take part in the building process of items due to his position in the Engineering Department, but he also stays back every day to make sure everything is perfected. Congrats on being the member of the month and keep up the hard work!

Community Involvement: During the month of November, to stay in the theme of giving back to society for the Holiday season, The Full Metal Beavers participated in many activities.
